                                 FIRST DAY at SANFORD

My name is Daisy and on my very first visit to Sanford Healthcare, I was so excited with my new red TDI scarf and yellow tag, but maintained my perfect demeanor and poise. I made people smile, they petted my soft coat and intuitively (because I’m a Therapy Dog) I knew just the right things to “say” and do. Is it any wonder that dogs always know just the right thing to say and do— our people sometimes need training – to be as comfortable with the sick as we are! My special Owner/Handler told me that she “never knew how fun therapy dog work could be!”

                                               TEARS OF LOVE for WILLIE

When my four little paws arrived at Primrose Retirement Community, I knew it was going to be a very special visit. One of the ladies we talked with seemed familiar. I remembered that her precious pup, Sophie was a playmate of mine at the dog park. The nice lady couldn’t bring Sophie to her new home so she held me and cried. I know she missed Sophie so much; and I used my talents as a Therapy Dog to make her feel better. My owner/handler asked for her room number so we can visit her often.
